Maintenance Technician II
Who we are looking for :
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician II to be based out of Kokomo, IN. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the production equipment’s mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems to improve the safety, productivity, and quality of the facility. The candidate will be expected to perform repair, and preventative maintenance on equipment and assist with manufacturing set-ups if necessary.

Must be able to work 8-10 hour shifts and willing to work overtime
Implements, upgrades, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs the control systems to help improve the safety, productivity, and quality of the facilityMaintains the entire plant's production equipment mechanical and electrical systems along with upgrading devices and controls without supervisionPerforms preventative maintenance and routine inspections of all control systemsCommunicates with operators to assist with solutions or repair of electrical problemsHas a solid understanding of all the mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems of the equipment that comprises its operationCommunicates with vendors on new and existing equipment to troubleshoot and repairReads, edits, and creates PLC Ladder Logic as it relates to the operation & modification of our production equipmentElectrically, pneumatic, HVAC, general plumbing, and mechanically inclinedPerforms MIG and Stick welding for plant machinery repairs
Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical componentsInstallation, modification, and fabrication of equipment and systems to meet production needs and schedulesConduct routine maintenance of electrical equipment, wiring, and resources.Work with maintenance and production personnel in analyzing and troubleshooting equipment failuresCleary communicate maintenance situations to the Shift Supervisor, and Plant ManagerStandard work training, 5S, lean sustainment, and problem-solvingObtaining quality products and meeting customer packaging requirementsCommunication skills to apply strong manufacturing guidelines with a strategic planning focusAll duties as instructed by supervisionWhat you'll bring :
High school degree or GED equivalent5 years of experience in electrical / mechanical maintenance in an industrial / manufacturing environmentMust have strong Mechanical and Electrical skill setsExperience with installation of machinery and equipment as well as disassemblyIdeal candidates will be creative, have strong mechanical, pneumatic, proficient in welding and electrical skillsForklift experience preferredMust be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands, and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical mannerExperience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferredMust be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environmentAble to lift 50 pounds unassistedComputer skills –Microsoft Windows and JD Edwards preferredLean concept sustainment & problem-solving skillsAbility to give verbal instruction, build positive relationships, and good organizational skillsFlexibility of shift schedule including overtime and weekendsMust possess an outgoing positive attitude, be a team player and have strong work ethicWithin 3 months, you’ll :
