As a Security Guard Armed - Hospital in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This armed post requires you to respond promptly to situations, interact professionally with the public, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. Your role is essential in maintaining a secure environment through routine patrols and clear communication.

Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government facility and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions depending on the location.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activities through visible presence and adherence to established protocols.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site requirements.
• Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when necessary.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public, staff, and visitors at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be authorized and able to carry handcuffs, pepper spray, and a sidearm as part of the armed security role.
• Must possess an Armed Designation as required by state or local regulations.
• A valid driver's license in the state of employment is required for driving positions.
• Must be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program, or possess an equivalent qualification.
• Must hold a valid Corrections Officer License.
• Must hold a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Must possess a valid Florida Armed Security Professional License (FL: Armed SP Lic).
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
