Job Summary
Oversee the planning, production, material handling, receiving, fulfillment, and shipping processes at the Joliet, Illinois facility. This individual will work closely with the Site General Manager to ensure efficient and timely production of new assemblies, smooth material handling, and fulfillment of customer orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management and logistics, combined with excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
Salary range: $80,000- $115,000 per year, with benefits that start on the 1st of the month after 30 days of hire (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with employer match, life insurance, STD, LTD, and Pet Insurance).
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Oversight: Develop, implement, and manage production workflow for new assemblies, ensuring optimal use of resources, equipment, and labor to meet customer and business demands.
- Material Handling & Inventory Control: Oversee the receipt, storage, and movement of raw materials, ensuring inventory levels are accurate and materials are available to the technicians when needed.
- Receiving & Fulfillment: Ensure the timely and accurate receipt of raw materials and parts. Oversee the order fulfillment process to guarantee products are shipped on time and meet quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of technicians, material handlers, and shipping/receiving staff, providing training, coaching, and performance management to ensure team success.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all production and material handling activities comply with safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment.
- Reporting & Communication: Regularly update the Site General Manager on production, Inventory counts, and on time delivery performance, providing insights on any challenges or improvements.
- Quality Control: Maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet company standards and customer specifications.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 5 years of experience managing production staff within a professional fast pace manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and logistics operations.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as NetSuite.
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations in manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in valve manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Lean manufacturing experience.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP system.
