Job Title: Assistant Program Manager
Job Location: Hampton, NJ (Hunterdon County)
Position Tyle: Full Time; Exempt
Purpose:
To use best practices and technology within a community-based residential setting to support and stabilize youth with or without Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or mental health disorders. To plan and implement Child/Family Team (CFT) interventions and assist the Program Manager in supervising milieu staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 3 or more years of relevant experience or an unlicensed master's level practitioner with 1 year of relevant experience.
- Valid unrestricted driver license with good driving record
- Intermediate level of computer literacy.
- The ability to lift and transfer at least 50 pounds
- The ability to sit, bend, squat, reach, be agile, physically pursue individuals on foot, and stand for several hours at a time
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Basic knowledge of vehicle and home maintenance
- Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally (in English), and non-verbally when necessary (specific to Youth communication abilities).
- Must have basic knowledge of vehicle and home maintenance
Required Skill Level:
- The ability to manage all aspects of home and vehicle life safety and maintenance
- The ability to safely and effectively execute and supervise all Personal Control and Defensive Techniques
- The ability to exercise good judgment and use common sense
- The ability to provide a culturally competent approach with employees and youth
- The ability to effectively schedule and manage staff to meet contract requirements
Duties/Responsibilities:
Works a 40-hour-per-week salaried, unlimited flexible schedule, with 25 hours per week dedicated to performing Case Management duties.
- In conjunction with the Program Manager:
- Shares on-call responsibility
- Supervises milieu staff and oversees the daily operational aspects of the home.
- Schedules milieu staff (according to the program model) and on-site nursing staff.
- Ensures milieu staff complete their job duties in alignment with the program design.
- Provides supervision to milieu staff during individual, group, and family interventions.
- Completes re-occurring operational tasks such as submitting evacuation drills, vehicle summaries, fire safety reports, and the environmental review.
- Reporting, monitoring, and scheduling house and vehicle maintenance.
- Ensures youth are supported in a safe, clean, and nurturing therapeutic environment.
- Provides assistance with daily living skills.
- Successfully completing required residential training, including but not limited to: New Hire Orientation; CPR and First Aid; Medication Administration; Preventing Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation; Shifting Expectations, Life Experience and Services; Life Threatening Emergencies (Danielle's Law); Stephen Komninos' Law; Crisis Management; Corporate Compliance; General Behavior; In-House Orientation; and other required trainings.
- Completes annual training, including role-specific trainings relative to Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Attends conferences, seminars, and other trainings relevant to the position.
- Reporting to locations other than primary assignment as needed for training, meetings, and emergencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Case Management duties:
- Completing family orientations within the first 24 hours of Youth admission.
- Reviewing and signing all required paperwork and consents within the first 24 hours of Youth admission.
- Implementing as needed on-site family psycho-educational activities tied to the comprehensive treatment and discharge plan.
- Attending treatment team meetings (monthly). Monitoring transition plans of youth and facilitating follow-up as needed in an effort to minimize the delayed transition of Youth (routinely).
