We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Licensed Child Care Administrator to lead our team and ensure the highest standards of care.
Position Summary:
The Licensed Child Care Administrator is responsible for the overall management and operation of our residential treatment center's child care program. This role involves ensuring compliance with all Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) regulations, developing and implementing program policies, supervising staff, and creating a positive and supportive environment for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Compliance and Licensing:
- Maintain compliance with all applicable DFPS licensing standards and regulations.
- Prepare for and manage licensing inspections and audits.
- Ensure all records and documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
- Program Development and Implementation:
- Develop and implement comprehensive child care programs that meet the needs of our residents.
- Create and maintain program policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and programs.
- Staff Supervision and Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise child care staff.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Create staff scheduling.
- Resident Care and Support:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
- Develop and implement individual care plans.
- Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate resident records.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the child care program budget.
- Order and maintain necessary supplies and equipment.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments within the treatment center.
- Represent the treatment center in a professional and positive manner.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Child Care Administrator License (Required).
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field (Preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a residential child care setting.
- Strong knowledge of DFPS licensing standards and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective child care programs.
- Experience with budget management and staff supervision.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license.
