Job Title : Maintenance Technician
Job Location : Travels to program locations throughout Hunterdon, Somerset, and Warren counties, NJ; and to the administration building in Mercer County, NJ. ( Regional scope subject to change based on personnel.)
Position Type : Full-time
Work Schedule : 40 Hour Flexible Schedule, may need to be available during emergencies on nights and weekends

Maintenance Technician Purpose:
To help maintain program housing in good condition. Will perform all duties necessary to meet state approval objectives including, the requirement that the employee cooperate with the Department of Human Services, the Division of Developmental Disabilities, the Department of Children and Families and the licensee a in any inspection or investigation. Will address any issues regarding the health, safety and/or welfare of the individuals Allies supports in cooperation with Allies, Inc. Support Managers, Allies, Inc. Administrative staff and/or NJ State Case Management as applicable. Will adhere to the most recent revisions of Allies, Inc. and the State of New Jersey policy and procedure including, but not limited to The Allies, Inc. Code of Ethics and Investigation Policy, The Allies, Inc. Operational Manual, DDD Circulars, and/or any other relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience in home repairs or building trade
- Valid unrestricted driver's license with good driving record
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to lift or transfer at least 100 lbs.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Works a varied 40 hour schedule and may need to be available during emergencies at nights and weekends
- Assist in development of systems to assure proper maintenance and timely repairs for housing
- Assist Fleet and Facilities Manager as needed to transfer vehicles to and from programs, garages, and main office
- Complete maintenance requests from programs
- Assist in performing and tracking preventive maintenance measures at facilities
- Assist in performing inspections of fleet and facilities, both scheduled and unscheduled
- Duties performed may include basic carpentry, spackling, painting prep, appliance repair/replacement, light automotive repair, drain clearing, HVAC preventive maintenance, window repair, lock replacement, light electrical (changing light fixtures, switches & receptacles), light plumbing skills (drain repair, faucet & shower stem, and shower head replacements), and other similar duties
- Attend conferences, seminars, and training relevant to the position
