This role requires strong leadership skills, as the supervisor will be responsible for maintaining, mixing, and having a thorough knowledge of paint and other coating materials to ensure compliance with contract or specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a crew of craftsmen and semi-skilled employees.
- Maintain, mix, and have a thorough knowledge of paint and other coating materials.
- Ensure compliance with contract or specifications.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience working as a Painter on an industrial construction project.
- 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and drawings proficiently.
- Knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved with basic painting techniques.
- Knowledge of paint qualities.
- Able to identify relationships between materials to be painted and the technique, mixture, and number of coatings required.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work full work schedule and any additional overtime as needed.
- Willingness to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Familiarity with company and site rules and regulations.
- Possession of required tools (Paint Gun and Blast Hood).
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
- Talking and hearing to communicate.
- Using arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
- Picking up, lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50lbs.
- Working at heights, climbing ladders and stairways, and occasional work off platforms/scaffolding using appropriate fall protection requirements.
- Working in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
