Job Responsibilities
- Supervise a crew of craftsmen and semi-skilled employees in painting equipment and structures for protection and cosmetic purposes.
- Maintain, mix, and have a thorough knowledge of paint and other coating materials to ensure equipment or structure is painted and protected as per contract or specifications.
Requirements
- 5 years working as a Painter on an industrial construction project and 1 years' experience in a supervisory role.
- Proficiently read blueprints, plans, and drawings to perform duties.
- Familiarity with materials, tools, and processes involved with basic painting techniques and knowledge of paint qualities.
- Identify the relationship between materials to be painted and the technique, mixture, and number of coatings required.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Talk and hear to communicate.
- Use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
- Work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding using fall protection requirements.
