Alloy Architectural Solutions (“Alloy”) is looking for a full-time Architectural Sheet Metal Estimator to start immediately in our headquarters in the Melrose Park suburb of Chicago, IL.
The Architectural Sheet Metal Estimator will be tasked with bringing Alloy to market as an architectural sheet metal solutions provider for commercial and industrial enterprises. The role will place a heavy emphasis on driving sales and building relationships with opportunities to grow your career and to earn commission at quickly evolving company.

Requirements:
Alloy Architectural Solutions has a three-step recruiting process that is both convenient for our applicants and the company. First, we review all applicants and respond to them within 2 weeks if we are interested. A phone interview is then scheduled to discuss the details of the position and potential fit for employment. The third and final step in the process is an in-person panel interview.

Requirements:
- 5 years experience in Architectural Sheet Metal
- Previous experience in Architectural Sheet Metal estimating including but not limited to standing seam roofing, ACM/composite wall panel systems, IMP panels, roofing related sheet metal (gutters, gravel stop, coping, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Self-motivated with the ability to generate new customers and maintain existing customers
- Good communication skills to effectively turn projects over to project manager
- Ability to navigate and understand blueprints in both electronic and paper form
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Must be a motivated, self-starter
- CAD experience
- Bluebeam experience
- Project management experience
- Existing clientele and/or leads
- Value engineering skills to help projects meet budgets
- Degree in construction management, or related field
- Create detailed estimates including labor, material, sub-contractor, and other job costs
- Attend pre-bid site meetings as required
- Organize all bid documents including drawings, specifications, addendums, photos, etc.
- Prepare quality takeoffs from drawings, satellite imagery, and/or site visits
- Solicit quotes from vendors and sub-contractors
- Submit pre-bid RFI's in a timely manner
- Review all bid requirements/qualifications and work with administrative team to ensure all criteria are met
- Prepare and submit proposals and/or bid forms
- Prepare P.O.'s for vendors and sub-contractors for review with project manager.
- Work directly with project manager making sure every detail and expectation is clear and concise before handing project off
- Prepare and submit change orders
- Review all billing with administrative team for their submission
