Checon, LLC, a division of Alloy Holdings, LLC is currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor at our Glens Falls, NY location. This position is responsible for organizing, motivating, training and managing people, operations, shifts, systems and other resources within our Bonding/Prep Department. You will work as part of a team, collaborating with other supervisors, as well as engineering, quality, planning, HR, and sales.
Essential Job Duties:
- Train and manage production personnel within Bonding/Prep Department
- Monitor and report production data, review and update work orders, ensuring mass balance is within acceptable range
- Implement efficiency improvements to reduce costs and enhance output. Contribute to achieving KPI’s as outlined by management
- Maintain employee Training Matrix, keeping accurate records of employee performance, machinery, and maintenance
- Collaborate with planners and other departments. Maintain production schedules, ensuring that production targets are met by scheduling shifts and coordinating workflow
- Set up, operate and monitoring production equipment and processes to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently, meeting quality standards and on time delivery
- Maintaining work orders on both production router and/or in ERP systems to accurately record data and track material used through the production process
- Ensure Safety compliance; Support a safety culture by administering and following all safety rules and regulations
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering and Sales to meet customer requirements
- Coordinate and manage quality, environmental and safety issues in your area of responsibility; NCR’s, DAR’s, Corrective Actions, team meetings
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in business administration, Industrial Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
- 3 – 5 years’ proven experience in a manufacturing or supervisory role
- Strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of production and operational standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are crucial for success in this role. Measured sense of understanding for sensitive and confidential issues.
- Technical skills including proficiency with manufacturing management software and tools are highly beneficial
Physical Requirements/Safety:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
