What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bellows Operator position at Alloy Precision Technologies?
This role focuses on learning and proficiently engaging the equipment, tooling, and processes related to the Bellows manufacturing processes, resulting in parts meeting Alloy Precision Technologies (APT) specifications and customer requirements. Additionally, all duties will be performed to meet or exceed Customer, AS9100/ISO9001, and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Applies good solid shop fundamentals in use of fixtures, tooling, dies, forming machines, post-forming operations required for making APT bellows.
- Conducts all hand operations and safely uses all equipment.
- Sound fundamentals of reading blueprints
- Knows the fundamentals of fabricated tubes and preparing tubes for forming operations
- With training, become proficient in hydro-forming bellows according to APT procedures
- With training, become proficient in trimming bellow cuffs to required standards
- With training, become proficient in compressing, adjusting, and rolling bellows to required standards.
- Conduct self at all times to APT policies and procedures under the current revision.
- Maintain dies, tools, and fixtures used in the bellows process.
- Maintains equipment in bellows area as required by the Group Leader
- With training, become proficient at the Mechanical Forming Process for making APT prescribed bellows.
- Ability to identify problems in the processes and make suggestions for improvement.
- Be flexible to support other shop processes as needed.
