Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring proper inspection and packing of product in the Production Department, reporting to the Production Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor automated packing process, providing manual intervention when needed.
- Inspect full boxes of finished product for quality.
- Assemble boxes for filling with finished product.
- Keep downstream packing equipment running and supplied with boxes to be filled.
- Seal, label, load boxes onto elevator.
- Maintain organized and clean workstations and common area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read shipping labels.
- Ability to identify defects in finished product.
- Good color acuity.
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changing business needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 25 pounds frequently, 27 pounds occasionally and ability to be actively moving for the majority of any shift.
- Use of Personal protective equipment on the production floor (PPE).
- Physical requirements include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping.
