Position Overview:
As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations in both the pallet manufacturing room and the assembly room. This position requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining profitability across production lines. The ideal candidate is a leader who’s not afraid to jump in and work alongside their team when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the pallet manufacturing and assembly departments.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) as directed by company leadership.
- Maintain and submit required OSHA documentation and injury reports.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of high-volume nail guns, glue guns and glue pots, various types of staple guns, and panel saws.
- Provide hands-on support when necessary, including operating a forklift and assisting on the line.
- Coordinate with other departments to maintain workflow and meet production targets.
- Lead, motivate, and train production staff to achieve departmental goals.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment (pallet or assembly experience is a plus).
- Experience with nail guns, glue application tools, staple guns, and panel saws preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety compliance.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift (certification is a plus).
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and assisting on the floor when needed.
- Basic computer skills for tracking KPIs and completing reports.
Work Environment & Physical Demands: This is a physically active role in a fast-paced, industrial environment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
