We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Roofing Department Manager to lead our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Roofing Department Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our roofing department, including sales, production, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong understanding of roofing systems, sales processes, and project management. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and leading a team to success.

Responsibilities:

• Sales Management:
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve departmental sales goals.
  • Train and mentor sales representatives on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service best practices.
  • Generate and qualify leads, conduct site inspections, and prepare accurate estimates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
• Production Management:
  • Oversee all roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Schedule and coordinate roofing crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes.
• Manage project budgets and control costs.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship.
• Resolve production issues and customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and manage roofing sales and production staff.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Motivate and inspire team members to achieve departmental goals.
• Customer Service:
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a point of contact for customer questions and concerns.
  • Ensure proper documentation of customer interactions and project progress.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the roofing industry, with a proven track record in sales and production management.
• Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant technology.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Strong understanding of insurance claims process is a plus.
