Soldering Technician - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 30.00 / hour - Plainfield, CT
Our client, a family-owned business recognized for its achievements and boasting over five decades of establishment, is currently in search of a Soldering Technician to become a valuable addition to their team!
The Soldering Technician will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and ensuring the quality of components through precise soldering techniques.
Responsibilities :
Solder components with precision and adherence to quality standards.
Use appropriate soldering techniques to ensure strong, leak-free joints between components.
Inspect solder joints and connections for defects such as cracks, leaks, or weak bonds.
Perform pressure tests and other quality checks to ensure the integrity of the soldered components.
Diagnose issues in damaged or leaking components and perform necessary repairs, including re-soldering, patching leaks, or replacing faulty components.
Clean and prepare surfaces before soldering to ensure proper adhesion and minimize oxidation.
Operate soldering equipment, including torches, irons, and brazing tools, according to safety guidelines.
Maintain soldering tools and equipment in good working order, performing regular cleaning and minor maintenance as needed.
Adhere to safety procedures when handling hot equipment and other materials associated with soldering processes.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications :
Proficiency in soldering and reading technical drawings.
1 years of soldering experience.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and safety awareness.
