About the Company
We are in search of a mechanically inclined candidate to work in the extrusion department! The extrusion department is responsible for manufacturing material in sheet and roll form. The overall objective of this position is to efficiently help in the production of PVC plastic sheets and rolls. Work as a team operating industrial machinery to produce plastic material in sheet and roll forms.
About the Role
Hours: Mon - Thurs (12 hour shifts) = 48 hours! Work 6am to 6pm OR 6pm to 6am! Payrate: $18-19 hour
Responsibilities
- Support an efficient and productive work environment by:
- Maintaining cleanliness of extrusion line equipment by removing dust and liquids off the machines, cleaning the vacuum hoses and bags.
- Preparing the work area for upcoming projects.
- Stringing up the plastic through the extrusion line and collect material in rolls and sheets.
- Assisting operator in pulling the rolls of plastic off of the spindles and help to prepare the spindles for the next roll by putting on cores and taping the cores.
- Accurately boxing, labeling, and taping plastic rolls and sheets.
- Building boxes on a skid to the requested order or height.
- Operation forklift for moving materials during production and for line setup.
- Ensuring chemicals and regrind are stocked and ready to use as requested by the operator.
- Contribute to creating a positive workspace by maintaining a clean and organized area.
Qualifications
Must be mechanically inclined. Must pass an on-site skills test. Employment contingent upon an interview, drug screen and background check!
