Experienced Security Alarm Technician

Job Description

We are a rapidly growing Fire and Security Alarm Company in need of an Experienced Installation/Service Technician.

Responsibilities:

• Installation of electrical/electronic protective signaling systems used to notify of fire, burglary, or other irregularities on the customer's premises.
• Developing great relationships with our clients
• Providing quality control and system functionality testing
• Training clients on the operation of integrated systems and components
• Work Orders executed are clearly noted with steps taken, materials used, and next steps needed to set others up for success
• Communication – progress, needs, and/or changes - must be communicated to team members, leaders, subcontractors, and clients to ensure schedules are maintained and information is flowing to all parties/departments
• Support after hour client needs through a paid on-call rotation
  
  

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Burglar and Fire Alarm Systems, Card Access Systems, and CCTV Systems.
• Experience with installation of wiring and signaling equipment.
• A working knowledge of equipment application, mounting techniques, programming, and testing.
• Experience with power tools.
  
  

Preferred:

• NICETII certification and Michigan Fire Alarm License
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
• Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color.
• Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc.
• Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check
  
  

Salary is negotiable and increases with experience.
