The Heavy Equipment Mechanic at ASG is responsible for performing regular maintenance and repairs on the company’s machinery as needed.

What you’ll do : (Including, but not limited to) :
Operates on-site in an on-call capacity installing and repairing equipment and training customer employees on how to maintain machinery
Performs trial run of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications
Troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and services all hydraulic machines, systems, and components
Completes minor repairs and maintenance work, such as replacing worn drive belts, hoses, and filters
Diagnoses issues, uses electronic indicator systems to identify problems and performs routine safety checks on brakes, suspension, exhaust, cooling, and other systems
Communicates findings and recommendations to applicable team members
Performs trial run of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications
Utilizes available resources to conduct technical research; adheres to appropriate safety procedures
Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities of this job classification
What you’ll need : General
High School Diploma, or GED.
Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Technical
Class A CDL and DOT medical card required
3 years experience in heavy equipment / automotive mechanical repairs
Experience working on drills, bucket trucks, and OSP construction equipment
Proficient at handling cylinders, pumps, motor and valve components, and with advanced hydraulic systems
Desired Skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Requires excellent communication and customer service skills
Job Type : Full-Time – Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Your Working Environment :
General field environment conditions with travel required
Your Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75lbs., and the capacity to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel.
