Who are we looking for?
A senior level Hybrid Infrastructure Architect having 15-18 years of experience working as Enterprise / Infrastructure architect and go to person for accounts team in reputed company. The Individual should be passionate about technology and would have worked as Architect to end client for short- and long-term Infrastructure transformational projects.
Technical Skills :
- 15-18 years of experience in architecting, designing, and consolidating data center infrastructure with expertise in VMware, Windows, Linux, AWS, and HPE GL (Good understanding).
- Strong experience in assessing existing data center environments and conducting business workshops to understand the needs and challenges for consolidation and migration to new Colo’s or cloud platforms like AWS.
- Expertise in designing scalable, highly available, and secure data center infrastructures using VMware (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN), AWS, and on-premises server platforms (Cisco UCS, HP, DELL, IBM).
- Conducts thorough assessments of current infrastructure, identifies gaps, and recommends solutions for optimization, consolidation, and modernization using VMware, HPE GL, and other relevant technologies.
- Leads the design and planning of data center consolidation strategies, ensuring proper integration with cloud platforms (AWS), Active Directory, and existing IT systems.
- Collaborates with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and design architectures that meet both technical and business objectives.
- Skilled in developing detailed data center migration plans, including resource allocation, timeline, and risk management, to ensure smooth transitions to new Colo’s or cloud environments.
- Expertise in migrating legacy systems to VMware-based virtualized environments and AWS cloud platforms, ensuring seamless application, data, and infrastructure migration with minimal downtime.
- Works closely with engineers and technical teams, providing guidance and mentorship throughout the migration process, ensuring adherence to best practices and successful execution.
- Leads business continuity and disaster recovery (DR) solution designs, ensuring that recovery objectives (RTO / RPO) are met for both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
- Experienced in integrating and managing identity and access management systems (Active Directory) in both hybrid and fully cloud-based data center architectures.
- Proficient in planning and implementing the consolidation of physical and virtual environments, optimizing resource usage and improving performance for business-critical applications.
- Provides leadership in evaluating and selecting the appropriate technologies (VMware, AWS, HPE GL, etc.) for data center projects, ensuring that selected solutions align with the organization’s long-term goals.
- Develops and manages the technical documentation for all phases of the data center consolidation, including architecture design, migration planning, and implementation processes.
- Mentors and leads teams of engineers, ensuring successful execution of migration tasks, problem resolution, and continuous improvement of data center operations.
- Works cross-functionally with network, storage, and security teams to ensure that all elements of the infrastructure are well-integrated and meet operational requirements.
- Leads efforts to automate and streamline data center operations using VMware, AWS, and other tools to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
- Co-ordinate with Citrix / Database / Backup & Storage architects to define the transformation journey, planning, consolidation, design and deployment of Future Infrastructure
