The Company Engineering team uses the Scrum Agile methodology.

The Platform Engineer Role :

The Company application runs on the SUSE and Red Hat Linux distributions. The Platform Engineer will be responsible for handling all operating system level issues and open source packages, such as :

• Producing install and upgrade scripts for the Company application
• Producing the Software Bill of Material (SBOM)
• Evaluating Common Vulnerability Exposures (CVEs) in packages used by our application or that our application depends on
• Analyzing results of the Software Composition Analysis output to identify security risks in the product
• Applying security patches to open source packages for cases where the upstream provided a fix that was not taken by the Linux distribution
• Working with our Support installation to resolve customer install and upgrade issues
• Creating automated processes for producing AWS AMI and Azure VHDx images
• Implementing malware detection software against our application
• Participating in portability efforts as the Company application adapts to new platforms, new OS versions, or new versions of common APIs.
