JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The office manager position is responsible for overall front office activities, including the reception area, mail, large purchasing requests and facilities. Responsible for directing and coordinating office services and related activities, including developing and supervising programs for the maximum utilization of services and equipment. Responsible for AP, AR, Payroll and reporting of time/costs into accounting system.
Essential Functions

- Receive, evaluate and process payment information in computer system. Verify dollar amounts, account names and addresses, tax exempt status and other information.
- Prepare reports, maintain files and retain records.
- Assist in posting data to various ledgers, registers, journals, and logs using established accounting techniques and procedures.
- Manages the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image.
- Coordinates overall administrative activities and office support for field and office staff.
- Assist field employees with underground utility locates.
Supervisory Responsibility
No direct supervision responsibility.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Overtime as needed.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- High School or GED required
- At least five years of previous experience in construction office environment.
- At least two years of accounting systems.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of ComputerEase Accounting Software
- Bookkeeping and accounting principles and techniques
- General procedures related to accounts payable and receivable
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
