School Based Mental Health Practitioner
We are seeking a dedicated School-Based Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Thief River Falls, MN. This position involves providing therapeutic services to students at Franklin Middle and Lincoln High School. You will provide services to youth in grades 6-12 and their families. This skills-based provider will work alongside a mental health professional already co-located in the school. The provider will focus on enhancing youth's skills to prevent, recognize, address, and minimize the effects of mental health issues.
The practitioner will be part of the school services program at Alluma which is a team of providers across Northwest Minnesota. The school assignment will remain in TRF middle and high school. The clinician will work with the school district to support referrals and be a point person when concerns of student mental health arise. This is a 12-month position, and during the non-school months, the provider will continue with skills services for individuals, groups, and families.
As a mental health practitioner, Alluma offers clinical supervision to support your growth and ongoing success as a mental health provider. We provide board-certified supervisors for Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Counseling. We will also provide evidence-based training opportunities through our school linked behavioral health grant to increase the ability to treat trauma and grow in professional development. Responsibilities
- Provide skills based intervention after a diagnosis has been identified
- Provide skills based services in the school and community settings
- Facilitate sessions with individuals, groups, or families
- Refer clients to other necessary service providers
- Complete initial and ongoing mental health outcome measurements
- Create a treatment plan and implement it based on each client’s recovery vision and needs
- Monitor client progress during treatment and modify approach as necessary
- Communicate and coordinate with families and all treatment team members internally and externally (medical, legal, psychiatric, county, substance use departments) to coordinate care during treatment
- Complete and update intake, screeners, releases, and forms/paperwork as needed
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings
- Optional to participate in an on-call mobile crisis team within Alluma

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
- Certification, licensure, or registration with the clinical discipline
- Unrestricted independent licensure (if applicable) in Minnesota
- Must pass a criminal background check
Salary : $24 - $26
