Job Overview:
The PEER Supervisor is designed to assist the individual PEER staff members as a consultant for treatment planning, a teacher for new strategies and techniques, and a quality assurance analyst to ensure all clients receive a quality service to meet their individual goals.
Peer Supervisor Activities:
- Develop goals and objectives with clients
- Provide activities and consultation to grow PEER staff skills and provide oversight on PEER staff’s interventions with clients and paperwork including establishing Individual Service Plans
- Increase community awareness
- Provide individual and group supervision to PEER staff
- Participate in training PEER staff
- Provide oversight to client paperwork to maintain compliance
- Participate in PEER staff development activities such as interviewing
- Review PEER staff paperwork for billing and payroll activities
- Coordinate with Clinical Supervisor regarding PEER staff and clients receiving PEER services as required by OMH in the CORE program
- Any further activities needed to develop and grow both staff and client base
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in any field (PEER supervisory experience preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of mental health direct care experience
- Provisional or Professional Peer Specialist certification required.
- Lived experience with and an ability to navigate service systems.
- Knowledge of the principles of recovery oriented and trauma informed service delivery.
- Ability to engage individuals around mental health and/or substance abuse
- This person must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and have a familiarity with computers.
- This position requires community based service provision. Must be able to travel.
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Pay: $53,000-65,000 annually, depending on experience
