What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pet Care Specialist position at Ally 4 Pets, LLC?
You must live in the following cities to be considered: Annapolis, Crownsville, Arnold, Severna Park, Millersville, Pasadena, Glen Burnie, Hanover, Ft. Meade, Severn, Odenton, Gambrills, Waugh Chapel, Crofton
This is a W-2 Employee position and NOT a 1099 Contractor Position.
You Must:
- Be over the age of 21
- Have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Have daily access to the Internet and the ability to communicate effectively by returning texts or emails promptly. Have the ability to learn to use an app for communication and read client information thoroughly.
- Be able to communicate effectively with our clients as visits are completed.
- Be familiar with the service area.
- Commit to at least 6 months.
- Be able to provide professional references.
- Submit a current background check to Ally 4 Pets.
- Complete Pet First Aid Training. This is an online course. The link will be provided to you.
· You must be able to access our mobile phone application while performing duties. (Smartphone.)
Helpful but not necessary:
- Animal handling and restraint skills
- Pet sitting and care experience
- Have some education or experience with dog behavior
- Kennel, Rescue or Veterinary experience is a plus
- Customer service skills and ability to handle heavy lifting
Position Pet Sitter:
Our visits occur, between the hours of 7 am & 9 am, 11 am & 3:00 pm, 4pm & 7pm and 7pm & 9pm.The number of clients and visits will vary based upon the clients’ requests and when they need pet care. Some clients only want one visit per day and others 4 visits per day. We want to pair you with clients currently in our database and any new clients that we onboard so that you create a relationship both with the clients and the pets in your care. You must be available at least 3 days a week . You must also commit to working 2 weekends a month AND have availability for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Memorial Day and Labor Day
On a Typical Day You will make sure you have anything necessary to access all clients’ houses you need for the day. You will leave your house to get to your first visit as needed for that day.
Each time and visit from here is customized for the clients and pets within each house. Instructions will be provided in our app and any questions you have can be directed to the owner or with the client at the meet and greet or through their client portal.
Make sure the house is secured and locked as instructed by the client. Mark the visit complete in our app and send the client a note via their client portal letting them know how their visit went.

1) You pay is 50% of all visits completed. Pay periods are the 1st to the 15th and 16th to 31st of the month. You get paid roughly 3 business days after the 15th and 31st, but that depends on your bank.
