Travel Personal Care Aide (PCA)
Job Type: Part-Time, As Needed (PRN)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable PRN Caregiver to provide personalized care and assistance to individuals in their homes. As a PRN Caregiver, you will be on-call and work as needed to help our Clients with daily living activities, ensuring they maintain their independence and quality of life. Flexibility, empathy, and a strong work ethic are key to succeeding in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and attentive care to Clients based on their specific needs and care plans.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Prepare and serve meals according to the Client's dietary needs and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor for changes in Client health status.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote the Client’s well-being.
- Ensure safety measures are followed to prevent falls or other injuries.
- Communicate any changes in the Client's condition to the care manager or supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous caregiving experience, preferably in home care, is highly desirable.
- Certification as a CNA is a plus.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, turning, and supporting Clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing compassionate and respectful care.
- Reliable transportation
- Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Flexible availability, including willingness to work on short notice.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care plans.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
Work Schedule:
This is a PRN position, meaning the hours will vary based on Client needs. Flexibility is required as shifts may occur during the day, evening, weekends, or holidays.
Compensation:
$16/hr
Travel Reimbursement:
$16/hr for all documented travel using MileIQ or similar mobile application.
