Our shared goal is to create smart and succinct summaries of legal developments in real time and to work in a culture of individual excellence, teamwork and mutual respect.   About the Role:  Law.com Radar, an innovative legal news source that combines editorial savvy with advanced data processing, is seeking a full-time editor to support an exciting legal news and information product. Our ideal candidate is a strong writer and researcher, excels at breaking down complex subjects and has an interest or previous experience in a law-related field.   WHAT YOU’LL DO:   Edit news briefs about newly filed lawsuits. Work quickly to improve content and correct errors based on source material Master a proprietary content management system and apply taxonomy related to matter types, law firms, companies and industries Assist with essential data entry and data enrichment projects Collaborate with colleagues to share information, improve processes and overcome challenges   ABOUT YOU:   You are a strong writer with at least two years of professional experience in journalism, communications or a legal field. You are highly motivated with a demonstrated aptitude for learning new subjects and systems. You have high standards and can work efficiently with minimal supervision. You can write quickly and clearly without making errors. Even when juggling tasks, you have strong focus and attention to detail. You have an entrepreneurial, problem-solving spirit and thrive in a fast-paced news environment. A law degree or legal background is a plus. Some news or copy-writing experience is preferred.
