What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Machinist position at Almaco?
ALMACO is currently seeking an Advanced Machinist.
The Advanced Machinist will program, set up, and operate Haas Machining centers that include CNC lathe, CNC mill, and manual equipment to produce machined parts for ALMACO equipment. This position works with Production and Engineering departments to coordinate schedules and workflow for the Machine Shop.

Daily responsibilities:
- Programs, sets up and operates CNC lathe, CNC mill, and manual equipment to produce machined parts for ALMACO equipment.
- Works with Production and Engineering departments to coordinate schedules and workflow for the Machine Shop.
- Maintains work area and materials, working with manufacturing departments to ensure timely delivery of necessary materials safely and to quality standards.
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Directly related and successful work experience programming and operating Haas machining centers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a two-year or trade school program is preferred.
- Ability and skill to perform machining operations from concepts, ideas or verbal instructions using machining tooling, fixtures, chucks and measuring devices.
