We are seeking a talented and passionate scientist to join our Chemical Sciences group within Medicinal Chemistry. Using strong organic synthesis skills, you will contribute to developing and supporting novel chemistry solutions for the advancement of our RNAi platform. This position is onsite and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in synthetic Organic Chemistry with a creative mindset, independent problem-solving ability, and desire to enable discoveries at the bench.
This position is onsite and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute syntheses of novel chemical modifications and delivery modalities for siRNA
- Multi-step synthesis, purification, and structural analysis of intermediate compounds
- Synthesis of organic building blocks to be used for RNA delivery
- Work closely with our internal RNAi platform teams and external collaborators to discuss project plans and coordinate activities for delivery and activity determination of siRNA
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on critical instrumentation such as NMR, HPLC, LCMS and other instruments in the lab
- Analyze, interpret, and organize data to prepare clearly articulated experimental reports and communicate the results of the projects at internal meetings
- The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Chemistry and 0-4 years of post-doctoral laboratory research experience in multi-step total synthesis or methodology projects
- Demonstrated ability to understand reaction mechanism and chemical reactivity in Organic Chemistry is a must
- Strong laboratory skills in synthesis, purification, and characterization of small molecules
- Expertise in state-of-the-art analytical techniques such as LC, MS, NMR, and the ability to analyze, interpret, and present data are a prerequisite
- Must be flexible to be able to apply her/his knowledge to new areas of study, thrive in a team environment, and possess excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
