The Regional Asset Protection Manager role will help create, develop, lead, and maximize all aspects of the Asset Protection function for Alo sanctuaries in direct partnership with both this role’s regional counterpart in the West & East, and the Director of Asset Protection and Safety. In this role, you will use proven methodologies, new technological advances, and data analysis, in combination with a relentless pursuit of excellence to strategically curate a customized total Asset Protection program to fully support the Alo vision and brand expansion. The assigned area of support for this role will be multiple districts beginning with approximately 30 stores and continued growth to 50 stores in 2025 and beyond. This role will be based out of Miami, Chicago, or Texas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze inventory shrink results and work closely with Retail Operations and Store Leadership to develop appropriate strategies to reduce losses from external theft, internal theft and operational errors.
- Drive the shrink reduction goals for assigned areas and constantly relay all corporate initiatives to store personnel.
- Assess high shrink stores to identify losses and make actionable recommendations to improve results.
- Assist in strategic initiatives and contribute to the successful development and implementation of Asset Protection objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive risk and site vulnerability assessments to identify deficiencies and provide recommendations for the protection of employees, and prevention of financial loss, damage, or business interruptions.
- Compose monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual Asset Protection summaries including trend analysis on asset protection KPI’s.
- Partner with West Regional Manager and Director of Asset Protection and Safety to identify, recommend and deploy new and upgraded store AP attributes, technology, and process improvements related to shrink, security, safety, and cash management.
- Aggressively identify, investigate, and resolve all internal and external theft and fraud including ORC, striving to minimize the impact of loss to the company and address new types of theft and fraud.
- Leverage exception and store reporting to identify theft and loss activity in assigned area.
- Conduct Internal Investigations including POS exception reporting, integrity concerns, cash loss, merchandise loss, etc. including the routine completion of phone interviews with suspects & witnesses.
- Ensure all internal and external investigations are completed promptly and in compliance with all corporate and legal standards and to maintain appropriate confidentiality.
- Partner with store and market leadership, HR, and legal to address and take the necessary corrective actions if necessary.
- Review & respond to reported incident reports such as thefts, shoplifting, inappropriate behavior, violence / threats, cash shortage, vandalism, robbery, burglary, internal dishonesty, or any other internal or external event resulting in loss of or harm to company assets.
- Maintain awareness of any regional security situations and provide timely support and advice regarding elevated security and safety risks i.e., civil unrest, protests, natural disasters, WPV.
- Review, advise, and manage the physical security standards for sanctuaries that will ensure the security and safety of guests, employees, and corporate assets.
- Manage all physical security systems and required training for assigned area of responsibility including but not limited to camera systems, intrusion alarms, key controls, safe codes, locking mechanisms, etc.
- Support new sanctuary openings in assigned region by conducting physical security assessments and leading trainings.
- Manage third party security vendor post orders and service for all fixed sites as well as for any ad-hoc service required in assigned region.
- Partner with the legal department on investigations and responses to incidents.
- Build effective partnerships in the field that can be leveraged to achieve common goals of improving sales while protecting company assets.
- Support corporate directives by being a liaison with government and industry security professionals to achieve a high level of security response.
- Network with other peers in the AP / LP Field for partnership on investigations, best practices, and trends.
- Seek opportunities for external development including webinars, conferences, trainings, etc. that can expand professional development for continued growth.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
