Job Summary
We are seeking a Front Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our front desk and WXYZ Bar Area. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional guest service, manage reservations, and oversee the Food and Beverage department to guarantee a seamless guest experience.
Duties
- Manage the front desk and bar staff and ensure smooth operations
- Cover Shifts as needed at the Front Desk or Bar if callouts occur
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to meet guest needs
- Maintain accurate records of room inventory and reservations
- Train front desk staff on procedures and customer service standards
-Participates in the selection of front office personnel.
-Trains, cross trains, and retains and front office personnel in accordance Marriott Standards
-Schedule the front office staff in accordance with budget guidelines and through the direction of the GM
-Supervises workloads during shifts.
-Evaluate the job performance of each front office employees
-Schedule and run monthly departmental meetings
-Maintains master and floor level key control
-Verifies that accurate rooms status information in maintained and properly communicated -
-Resolves guest related problems quickly, efficiently and courteously.
- Reviews and completed credit limit report daily
-Works within the allotted budget for the front office
-Received information from the previous shift manager and passes on additional details to the oncoming shift or manager.
-Checks cashiers in and out and verifies banks and deposit at the end of each shift.
-Enforces all cash handling and credit policies including incoming check policies and procedures.
-Conducts regularly schedule meetings of front office personnel.
- Conducts regular audits of Aloft standards and makes sure they conform to QA specifications including but not limited to CRM, Uniforms, Folios, Marriott and uphold the hotels’ commitment to hospitality.
## Experience
-Marriott Brand Experience
- Experience utilizing Lightspeed PMS and MGS and MICROS POS System
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of hospitality management practices and front desk operations
- Proficiency in phone etiquette and handling phone systems effectively
