Lihue, HI Full Time Position Available
We are seeking a dynamic & experienced individual to join our unique café & boutique team as a culinary team leader at our flagship store in Lihue, HI.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the culinary industry preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, perform stock duties, be able to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Availability to work during the week and on some weekends with the opportunity to work additional hours for private events.

Responsibilities:
As a team leader, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the culinary experience for our customers. Your primary responsibilities include:

Kitchen Operations:

  • Directs and supervises food preparation, cooking, and cleanup.
  • Assigns tasks and monitors the work of prep cooks, and other kitchen staff.
  • Ensures adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintains a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Menu Development & Planning:

  • Creates and implements menus, considering customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and dietary restrictions.
  • Develops new recipes and food presentations.
  • Determines prices for menu items.

Inventory Management & Ordering:

  • Manages inventory of food and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Orders food and supplies from vendors, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Staff Management:

  • Hires, trains, and evaluates kitchen staff.
  • Provides guidance and support to kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manages staff schedules and workloads.

Food Quality & Safety:

  • Ensures the quality and safety of all food prepared and served.
  • Monitors food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Implements and maintains food safety protocols.

Other Duties:

  • May be involved in planning special events or catering services.
  • May assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and facilities.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
