Job Summary:
The Laborer | Fumigation Technician is responsible for delivering safe and effective treatment methods, primarily utilizing Vikane Gas, to our clients' homes and businesses. The responsibilities encompass preparing the locations, by treating them with appropriate materials, ensuring safe reentry, and safely dismantling and cleaning all equipment before departure. Comprehensive training will be provided on the materials, techniques, and tasks involved, with the expectation that the technician will work towards obtaining the HDOA Commercial 7a Fumigation License. Technicians are also required to strictly adhere to all label and SDS instructions as well as OSHA, FDA, EPA, FIFRA, HDOA and Aloha Termite & Pest safety rules regulations and laws of the State of Hawaii and the United States as it pertains to the use and treatment of these materials.

Daily Work Schedule:
- The workday starts at 6:00 am and is completed when the day's work assignments are finished
- The workweek is Monday through Friday (with weekends as needed, with prior notice)
- Properly handle fumigation objects, such as tarps, sand snakes, water snakes, pins, bottles, cords, ropes, and other items required for the tasks assigned.
- Utilize a variety of tools and safety devices including ladders, ropes, fans, extension cords and power tools, tubes, shovels, brooms and SCBA gear.
- Treat customers, homes, businesses and properties with respect at all times
- Take the initiative and be a self-guided/thinker in knowing what needs to be done without being told.
- Maintain professionalism in words, deed, action, appearance, and manner
- Communicate effectively, be a good listener, and work as a productive team member
- Work in the safest manner possible while following all the laws and regulations as required of the task and job.
- Recognize safety as a personal responsibility, using provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and prioritizing personal and team safety.
- Ability to read and fully understand product labels and SDS sheets.
- Respect and obey all traffic laws, including not exceeding posted speed limits or driving in an unsafe manner. Never operate a vehicle while under the influence of any substance
- Maintaining company vehicles and ensuring that the vehicle is organized, clean and follows all HDOA related regulations.
