Position Summary
The Information Systems intern is responsible for supporting the Data Analyst Manager and the System Configuration Manager in the various functions of the Information Systems Department, specifically the Business Support Services. This role handles tasks related to data extraction and analysis, preparation of reports and other tasks as needed that provide support to the team. Strong attention to detail and precise documentation are critical to the success in this role. The position requires the ability to exercise sound judgment and take initiative in addressing non-routine situations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop business intelligence reports in PowerBI
- Work within the Microsoft Platform to better understand the new tools that we have access to and how we can better leverage them, including but not limited, to Power Pages, Power Automate and Bookings.
- Database related tasks including but not limited to, integrating data into a database, building tables and understanding the extract, transform, load (ETL) process and developing visualizations
- Utilize SQL to perform QA on data within our claims processing system to ensure accuracy while also documenting the findings
- Analyze and document CMS and Medicaid data that would need to be loaded into our claims processing system (ex: quarterly fees)
- Responsible for maintaining AlohaCare’s confidential information in accordance with AlohaCare policies, and state and federal laws, rules and regulations regarding confidentiality. Employees have access to AlohaCare data based on the data classification assigned to this job title.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current student entering their junior or senior year in an accredited undergraduate program in Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Health, Management or other related field.
- Prior experience using SQL, Excel and other statistical/analytical tools
- Intermediate skills using Microsoft Programs: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
- Strong verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to operate general office equipment to include PC, fax/copy machine, and telephone
- Positive attitude and ability to accept direction
- Strong problem solving and reasoning skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
- Good prioritization and organizational skills
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Salary : $15 - $17
