Job Summary
As a Scan Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that pricing and signage in our retail store are accurate and up-to-date. You'll conduct weekly price changes, which includes updating shelf stickers, bonus buy signs, and store specials. Additionally, you'll manage item updates and deletions in our computer system while maintaining overall price integrity throughout the store.
Your role will also involve performing clerical services at the service center desk, operating cash registers, and providing customers with efficient checkout service. You will play a vital part in maintaining the department's efficiency, contributing to the financial success of the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Price Management: Regularly monitor and update pricing information, keeping up with daily sales and price reductions.
- Inventory Integrity: Ensure accurate pricing for new inventory and resolve any pricing discrepancies.
- Customer Service: Uphold the standards of excellent customer service as outlined in our World Class Service Program.
- Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with cashiers and inform management of any pricing or sign issues.
- Office Duties: Perform scan audits, keep the scan office organized, and distribute discontinued sheets and upcoming specials.
Skills and Qualifications
To succeed as a Scan Coordinator, you should possess:
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in pricing and signage.
- Analytical Skills: Strong abilities in math and technology.
- Communication Skills: Ability to interact well with management, co-workers, and customers.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in retail customer service or office administration in a grocery environment is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
