Position Overview

The Sr. Electrical Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency by overseeing both planned and unplanned electrical maintenance and certain capital projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and hands-on experience in an industrial setting. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Sr. Electrical Supervisor will also oversee the work of plant electricians, ensuring safety and reliability in all electrical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical System Maintenance & Configuration

o Maintain, troubleshoot, and configure PLC systems, including Allen Bradley PLC-5 and Control Logix PLCs, along with HMIs such as Wonderware.

• CMMS Planning & Coordination

o Utilize the JDE CMMS system to plan and manage maintenance activities, including work orders, parts ordering, and scheduling.

• Project Collaboration

o Collaborate with corporate engineers on capital projects and participate in weekly planning meetings for short and long-term maintenance tasks.

• Supervision & Development

o Supervise, train, and develop a team of 2-3 plant electricians, fostering a cooperative working environment across union and salaried supervisors.

• Equipment Inspection & Troubleshooting

o Conduct inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment, including pumps, conveyors, relay logic, and power distribution systems.

• Process Optimization & Documentation

o Provide disciplined scheduling and prioritization of maintenance tasks, ensuring detailed documentation for CMMS records.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience:

o Minimum of 5 years of practical electrical experience in an industrial environment.

• Technical Skills:

o Proficient in using CMMS for work orders, part look-ups, and requisitions.

o Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC-5, Control Logix PLCs, Ethernet IP fiber optic and UTP networks, and DeviceNet networks.

o Skilled in power distribution, including 120/240/480-volt, 4160-volt, and 34.5kv systems.

o Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC systems and work with HMIs, particularly Wonderware.

• Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent industrial experience.

• Interpersonal Skills:

o Demonstrated cooperative spirit with union and salaried supervisors, with strong labor relations experience.

o Effective problem-solving abilities and a structured approach to troubleshooting and maintenance prioritization.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Pay: $115,226.00 - $120,000.00 per year
