We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Maintenance Execution team based out of our Gaston, SC facility.
Responsibilities
The Heavy Equipment Operator will be reportable to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and have responsibilities for the following tasks :
- Operates a variety of heavy equipment such as cranes, boom trucks, fork lifts, backhoes, front-end loaders, excavators, and motor graders.
- Assists plant site with maintenance work & heavy equipment requests such as , loading and unloading parts & material and moving large pallets of inventory from one area to another.
- Transports tools, parts and equipment to and from maintenance sites as needed.
- Inspects heavy equipment before & after use to ensure they are working properly and fuel equipment as needed.
- Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment such as checking oils, lubricants, and fluids.
- Maintains & Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
- May be required to get certification / trainer status in operation of heavy equipment.
- Supports company's planning and scheduling during routine and shutdown execution.
- Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
