Duties:
Role:
Responsible for the development of new business relationships with prospective members and increasing business with present members by making personal contact. Follow the Credit Union mission and member promise statement.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Implements a program that includes contacting existing members to maintain and expand banking relationships and contacting prospective members to develop new business.
Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell services to members through in-person sales sessions as well as by telephone, written correspondence, and external sales calls.
Represents the Credit Union at various functions to develop business relationships.
Collaborates with Commercial Lending Team to discuss member needs and arrange for meetings between members or prospective members and representatives of various credit union functional areas.
Maintains high product knowledge by learning new selling techniques, new products and market trends.
Assists in the development of promotional strategies to meet business development goals; develops promotional materials.
Performs other job related duties required or assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Eight to ten years of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills Must have good communication skills.
