Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for supporting the firm's Family Law practice, and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of cases and projects. This role offers a chance to work alongside experienced attorneys and gain valuable experience in the legal field.
Responsibilities :
Conduct legal research to support cases and transactions
Draft and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements
Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses
Participate in litigation proceedings, including depositions and trials
Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective strategies
Stay up-to-date with developments in relevant areas of law
Familiarize yourself with relevant family law issues
Qualifications :
A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the bar in the state where the firm is located
Strong research and writing skills
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Familiarity with legal drafting and litigation procedures
Experience in areas of law relevant to the firm's practice
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Familiarity with Westlaw and other legal research tools
Knowledge of family law, personal injury, and / or social security disability law is preferred
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed
