What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR (Swing Shift) position at Alpha Baking Company?
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises, trains and coaches' production associates on a day-to-day basis.
- Coordinates, maintains and monitors production processes and procedures.
- Monitors and ensures Product Quality is an absolute priority.
- Understand level of scrap and rework in area caused by equipment issues and associated points of cause.
- Report accurate scrap counts to office staff for tracking, labor waste and damaged product on a daily basis.
- Conduct and coordinate routine safety and sanitation inspections to promote employee safety and good housekeeping.
- Responsible for reporting and taking necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
- Responsible for following, enforcing General Plant Safety, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices are priority setting examples to others.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Education:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Ability to problem solve and analyze line operations with minimal guidance.
- Able to work a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of 24hr a day operation including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong computers skills.
- Sound judgement, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
