Job Summary:
The Vice President of Operations will lead and optimize manufacturing and supply chain operations across our two production facilities in the USA. This role will oversee all operational functions, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
THE ROLE IS LOCATED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute operational strategies that align with company goals, ensuring manufacturing excellence, cost control, and scalability.
- Manufacturing Oversight: Provide leadership to Plant Managers at multiple facilities, driving operational efficiencies, capacity planning, and productivity enhancements.
- Supply Chain & Procurement: Direct the Supply Chain Director and Procurement Director to optimize sourcing, logistics, and inventory management, ensuring seamless production and cost efficiency.
- Operational Excellence: Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, reduce waste, and improve yields.
- Financial Management: Establish and manage budgets, capital expenditures, and cost reduction initiatives, ensuring profitability and return on investment.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to FDA, USDA, SQF, IFS, and other food safety regulations, maintaining high-quality standards across both facilities.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field required. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of industry-related experience, with at least 3 years in an executive/upper management role within food manufacturing.
- Expertise in: Manufacturing operations, supply chain optimization, procurement, lean methodologies, and financial management.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP systems, production planning software, and food safety regulations.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage cross-functional teams, drive change, and build a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
