As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring automated processes align with validation strategies and quality procedures. You will contribute to the development of vision and programming standards, conduct source code reviews for automated equipment, and provide guidance to suppliers on new equipment builds. Additionally, you will analyze production equipment performance and develop strategies to improve yield from underperforming inspections.
This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accurate documentation. A strong understanding of quality and regulatory compliance is essential. You will work with Allen Bradley PLCs, Cognex Vision systems, and Fanuc Robots, with expertise in at least one of these systems expected.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 2 years of experience in automated manufacturing.
- Experience with validation processes, including process and equipment qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) and test methods.
- Ability to compose professional documentation, such as protocols, work instructions, and engineering studies.
- Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to meet ambitious deadlines.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including FDA 21 CFR 820 and GMP standards.
- Working knowledge of Minitab.
- Familiarity with statistical techniques and sampling methods for process validation and monitoring.
