Job Description:
We are seeking an IT Specialist to provide effective break/fix support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals. This role will primarily involve troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating systems, along with re-imaging devices, reinstalling applications, and coordinating with third-party vendors for escalations and hardware replacements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
- Re-image devices and reinstall/configure applications as necessary, ensuring systems are properly set up and optimized for user needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, hardware components, and enterprise applications.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for escalations, hardware replacements, and other technical support issues.
- Document and track issues, resolutions, and all relevant technical details in the IT service management system (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in IT support roles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve hardware, software, and OS issues efficiently.
- Previous experience in an enterprise IT environment, with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and business processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team or independently as required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with IT service management systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, networking protocols, and general IT infrastructure.
- Certification in relevant IT support fields (CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified, etc.) is a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
