We are seeking a dynamic Public Relations Assistant to join our team in Westlake, OH. The ideal candidate will support our public relations initiatives, assist in developing strong media relationships, and ensure successful execution of client campaigns. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about the field of public relations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
- Coordinate with media outlets and journalists to secure coverage for client projects.
- Schedule and organize press events, meetings, and interviews.
- Monitor and track media coverage and report on campaign performance.
- Maintain and update media contact lists and databases.
- Support the Public Relations team in brainstorming and implementing strategies for clients.
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of media relations and public relations principles.
- Prior experience or internships in PR or communications (preferred but not required).
