Coordinates and directs the design, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.
Responsibilities
- Provides for maintenance of existing plant facilities and equipment in collaboration with Plant Manager who will make recommendations for replacement or adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
- Aids in maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
- Aids with HVAC systems, electrical/ lighting systems, plumbing systems, computer wiring, security services, janitorial services and other factors.
- Performs audits to support facility safety.
- Engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance.
- Safety, LOCK OUT TAG OUT, HAZMAT training.
Qualifications
- High School degree and 2 or more years experience with facility responsibilities in a manufacturing environment required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to develop, read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as sales plans and forecasts.
- Ability to listen effectively and convey complex ideas to others; Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations to senior management, employee groups, and customers.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Ability to deal with non-verbal symbolism (formulae, scientific equations, graphs, etc.).
- Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to court, measure and maintain purchase budget for parts.
