Internal Description
An account manager is responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with existing clients or customers of a company. The focus is on inside sales activities, supporting current accounts and active customers.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients or customers
- Ensure that customer needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
- Conduct research to identify potential customers and generate sales leads.
- Contact potential customers via phone, email, or online chat to introduce products or services and close sales.
- Develop and implement account strategies and plans to maximize revenue and profitability from existing accounts.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support, answering questions and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Work collaboratively with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information and sales data in the company's customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and product knowledge to effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes to increase productivity and efficiency.
