What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist position at AlphaOmega Properties, LLC?
AlphaOmega Properties, LLC is a Washington-DC based property management company. We are currently seeking a qualified high-paced Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist to assist with daily operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accounting records are accurate and collections are maximized on all properties. In addition, the position will focus on the following duties:
- Follow established procedures for processing checks, cash and credit card payments
- Analyze monthly income/expenses and make recommendations for operations as needed
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies/customer queries as needed
- Review accounts receivable reports for delinquencies & and prepayments
- Manage draw requests with Banks for construction projects
- Post Rents and late fees each month for all properties in portfolio
- Collect data and prepare/review weekly and monthly reports
- Ensure that accounting records are current including data transfer between software programs and making journal entries
Education / Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 1-3 or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting
- Exceptional computer skills - MS Office Suite
- Excellent customer service
- Strong ability to work independently; Ability to research and problem solve
- Previous experience as an Accountant in Construction and Property Management fields.
Background check, valid drivers license and drug screen required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.50 - $24.50 per hour
