Job purpose
Alpine Air is currently seeking a Maintenance Control Manager to be located at their Provo company headquarters site. The Maintenance Control Manager is a key member of the Management Team and will be responsible to oversee all aspects of the fleet related to prevention, protection, and recovery, and ensure the fleet is operated efficiently. Responsibilities include overall reliability, maintenance, tooling, and materials availability, ensuring the best interest of the fleet is managed.
Duties and responsibilities
The selected applicant will oversee fleet maintenance and perform functions including:
- Coordinate fleet maintenance requirements with Regional Base Managers, Parts Manager, and company leadership as required
- Lead and administer weekly regional fleet conference calls with Regional Base Managers and Parts Manager for efficient maintenance loading
- Active role to improve efficiencies by identifying recurring problems, training opportunities, and recommending changes in procedures
- Direct and coordinate with Parts department to help ensure adequate spares and tooling are available to perform scheduled maintenance on time at pre-planned location
- Procure and coordinate with third party vendors maintenance event estimates and scheduling
- Coordinate with Flight Operations on any issues they may have regarding the aircraft or supporting programs
- Liaison with regulatory agencies as required
- Monitor key performance metrics and reporting aircraft reliability
- Advisory role identifying improvements to Approved Airworthiness Inspection Program in collaboration with Maintenance Team
- Active role improving Maintenance Programs ensuring potential “gaps” are rectified
- Coordinate with Materials Department to help ensure adequate spares and tooling are available to perform scheduled maintenance on time at pre-planned location
- Advisory role in the oversight of the daily fleet operations to help ensure a high dispatch reliability
- Proficient with the use of all technical manuals, Federal Regulations, and Company policies and procedures both current and revised
- Responsible for project coordination implementation and support as necessary
- Key point of contact & coordinator for resources and technical support as necessary in cases of major mechanical problems or AOG situations
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Aircraft & Powerplant Certificate required; Inspection Authorization Certificate is preferred
- 2 years active in a Part 135/121 General Maintenance role
- Working knowledge & experience with Part 135/121 Operations related to:
- Records structure & management
- Maintenance Event Tracking
- Aircraft Conformity & On-boarding
- Approved Aircraft Inspection Program
- Vendor relations
- Working knowledge of airframe & engine inspection programs & requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills required
- Must be an active listener and effective problem-solver who can meet tight deadlines
- Experience effectively communicating with regulatory agencies
- High school diploma required; BS/BA in administration or relevant field will be preferred

- Ability to interact effectively with people of all levels in the exchange of ideas, giving direction or explaining ideas
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and to present results, analysis and recommendations to a target audience
- Skill in analyzing data, writing reports and tracking corrective actions to closure

Working conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
This position is a Full-Time position, 35-40 hours per week, with competitive compensation of benefits and 401k with matching contribution. Paid Time Off, eight paid holidays per year, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance are available immediately upon employment.
