Under general supervision, to assist the County Clerk department in the performance of County Clerk, Registrar of Voters, Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Board of Equalization, Local Transportation Commission, Local Agency Formation Commission and Parking Agent functions; maintains official documents and records management; assists in conducting elections; and to perform related duties as assigned. Assists in the coordination of the countywide records management program; maintain records in interim storage; assists in developing departmental records retention policies and procedures, updating retention schedules and provide training and instruction to County departments and perform other records management related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by college-level coursework in business or office administration, records management, or closely related field.
Experience:
Two years of experience in a county clerk’s office or a similar office environment involving frequent public contact.
Other Requirements:
Complete training required through the U.S. Department of State, Passport Services to certify as an Acceptance Agent upon permanent status and recertify by January 31 of each year.
Required: Possession of a valid California/Nevada driver’s license.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS 100% FTE in a five-step salary system with advancement upon satisfactory completion of a one-year probationary period and annual increases thereafter.

- Vacation: Accrued at the rate of 6.67 hours per month, or 10 vacation days per year.
- Sick Leave: Earned at the rate of 8 hours per month.

- Retirement: Participation in the California Public Employee Retirement System (PERS), 2% at 62 plan for “New Members”
- Deferred Compensation: The County has a voluntary deferred compensation program.
