Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, urgent care facilities, and inpatient environments. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians to ensure the best outcomes for our patients while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Perform IV insertion and other clinical procedures as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Support patients and their families by providing education on health management and wellness strategies.
- Participate in emergency medicine protocols as needed, including during urgent care situations.
- Assist in operating room (OR) procedures when applicable, ensuring a sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly within trauma centers or emergency medicine, is preferred.
- Familiarity with school health services is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments.
