Duties

- Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10 and DRG for accurate billing.
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding medical collections.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in billing or coding.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with the medical office team to resolve billing issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or related fields is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and various coding systems is essential.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software, specifically Advanced MD, is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required for managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical collection, medical office experience, and EMR systems
- Strong knowledge of EHR systems--specifically Advanced MD, medical terminology, and medical coding including ICD-10
- Experience in medical billing, medical records management, and patient interaction
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with DRG, CPT coding, and ICD-10
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
